Means to an End

I feel like I just want to explode. I really do. Apparently, pregnant teenagers are smoking to reduce the size of their babies in an effort to ease labour. This is because, in their malformed little minds, the most important part of the process of giving birth is ensuring that it is as painless as possible for them, and to hell with what it does to the baby.

Why?

Because the baby, while being an independant lifeform, and future member of society, is nothing more than a means to an end. A fashion accessory with the magnificent benefit of generating inward cashflows into the bank of Chav.

The kid will be smaller, have development problems, and quite possibly inherit some kind of deformity. But at least you won't feel any twang to detract from the blissful state you've entered into from the epidural anaesthetics coursing your blood. So what if it's smaller anyway? All the better to fit it onto a shelf in a cupboard somewhere in your house, keeping it out of the way until someone needs to check that you actually have a kid to validate your benefit claims.

The utter repugnance of this behaviour is so incredibly and profoundly disgusting it makes me want to kill people. Bring a life into the world as a means of income, bringing that life down so it has less chance of achieving, while also using it to drain money from every working individual in the country? Jesus fucking christ! It's an out and out assault on humanity.

Still, I have to have a poke at the witless buffoons that enjoy their moment in the spotlight as they wash this revelation upon us. Belinda Phipps, CE of the National Childbirth Trust, tells us that this behaviour shows a 'worrying lack of education among young women'. I could have told you that myself. Unfortunately, what Belinda is referring to is that we are bringing these girls up fearful of labour (the childbirth labour, not the political party). No Belinda. No, no, no. Do you seriously believe that a simple fear of labour would cause teenagers in their droves to deliberately and permanently harm their unborn children? This isn't about education of the process of giving birth, its about a complete and utter lack of morals and any sense of responsibility.

Any parent that has willingly done this to their child should be lined up and publicly flayed before being thrown into shallow pools teeming with enormous fucking leeches. Maybe then they'd know how the average taxpayer feels.

But seriously. If society is so hung up about the question of when an unborn child becomes a human being, and qualifies as life, why the fuck aren't the religious zealots decrying this utterly heinous defamation of humanity by idiot kids that will cut any corner they can to make their life as devoid of responsibility as possible?

Seriously. If I were faced with one of these girls, I'd probably fucking kill her, and her undersized spawn.

People these days look upon humanity with reverence. They act as though we are Gods unto ourselves, a hypocrisy that is never mentioned in the face of religious worship of deities we can neither see nor disprove. We gape in awe at our magnificence as we build space stations, nuclear fission powerplants and bluetooth headsets.

Aren't we fucking clever. So clever in fact that we're able to devalue the lives of our fellow beings to pure monetary terms. A stipend for sitting on your ignorant backsides and wallowing in your own stupidity rather than contributing to the species you so readily praise for its accomplishments.

I am absolutely furious right now.
